Finance Technical Consultant
Job Summary
The Finance Functional Consultant is responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting ERP solutions with a focus on finance, accounting, and business process automation. The role involves understanding client requirements, mapping business processes, performing data migration, configuring ERP modules, automating workflows, and ensuring successful adoption of technology solutions.
The consultant serves as a bridge between business users and technical teams, helping organizations improve operational efficiency, financial controls, reporting capabilities, and process automation through ERP systems and digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
ERP Implementation & Consulting
- Understand client business requirements, finance processes, and operational workflows.
- Analyze and map business processes to ERP functionalities and best practices.
- Configure and implement finance-related ERP modules and applications.
- Participate in ERP deployment, testing, and go-live activities.
- Support clients during implementation and post-implementation phases.
- Ensure successful ERP adoption by providing guidance and functional expertise.
Data Migration & Validation
- Plan and execute data migration activities from legacy systems to ERP platforms.
- Perform data extraction, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of migrated data.
- Prepare migration templates and validation reports.
Business Process Automation
- Identify manual and repetitive processes that can be automated.
- Design and implement workflow automation, approval processes, notifications, and business rules.
- Configure ERP workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Support digital transformation initiatives through process optimization and automation.
- Monitor automated processes and recommend continuous improvements.
Finance & Functional Support
- Support finance and accounting functions through ERP solutions.
- Assist clients in streamlining accounting, reporting, and compliance processes.
- Troubleshoot functional issues and coordinate with technical teams for resolution.
- Provide recommendations for process improvements and system enhancements.
Documentation & Training
- Prepare Functional Requirement Documents (FRD), Business Requirement Documents (BRD), SOPs, process flow documents, and implementation reports.
- Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and prepare test cases.
- Deliver user training sessions and knowledge transfer programs.
- Maintain implementation and support documentation.
Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate with clients, internal teams, and software vendors.
- Gather and document client requirements effectively.
- Provide regular project status updates and implementation reports.
- Ensure timely completion of project milestones and deliverables.
Required Qualifications
- B.Com, M.Com, BBA, MBA (Finance), CA Inter, CMA Inter, CA Articleship, CMA Articleship, or equivalent qualification.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, taxation, and business processes.
- Experience in ERP implementation, finance operations, business consulting, or process automation is preferred.
