- Theatre Setup: Prepare the operating room and arrange sterile surgical instruments, drapes, and consumable trays according to the specific surgery scheduled. [1, 2]
- Equipment Check: Ensure all biomedical devices—such as anesthesia machines, C-arm machines, monitors, and lights—are functional and sterilized. [1, 2]
- Patient Preparation: Assist in safely shifting and positioning the patient on the operating table based on the surgeon's requirements. [1, 2]
2. Intra-operative (During Surgery):
- Surgical Assistance: Hand sterile instruments, sutures, and supplies to the surgeon and scrub nurse during the procedure.
- Monitoring: Assist the anesthetist in monitoring patient vitals, managing intravenous fluids, and administering medications.
