Job Title: Maintenance Technician (Fly Ash Brick & Paver Block Plant)

Job Purpose
To ensure the smooth daily operation of the fly ash brick machine, paver block plant, and manual material handling equipment through regular cleaning, lubrication, and basic preventive maintenance.
Key Responsibilities1. Fly Ash Brick & Paver Block Machine Maintenance
- Daily Cleaning: Clean the mixing pan, conveyor belts, and brick molds after every shift to prevent concrete buildup.
- Lubrication: Grease and oil all moving parts, gears, and hydraulic cylinders daily according to the maintenance checklist.
- Nut & Bolt Tightening: Conduct routine checks to ensure all structural bolts and mold fasteners are tight, as these machines vibrate heavily.
2. Material Handling Equipment Maintenance
- Hydraulic Pallet Trucks: Check hydraulic oil levels, inspect for oil leaks, and grease the wheels and lifting mechanisms to ensure smooth operation.
- Wheelbarrows: Perform basic repairs on raw material feeding wheelbarrows, including tightening loose bolts and inflating or replacing punctured tires.
3. Preventive & General Maintenance
- Hydraulic Systems: Monitor hydraulic oil levels and check hoses for visible wear, tear, or leakages.
- Vibrator Systems: Inspect the vibrating tables and motors used in paver block production for loose connections.
- Water Supply: Ensure the water pumps and pipelines used for mixing and curing are free from leaks and blockages.
4. Safety & Housekeeping
- Keep the maintenance workshop and tool area clean and organized.
- Wear appropriate Safety Equipment (PPE) like steel-toe boots, gloves, and a dust mask.
- Report any major mechanical or electrical issues immediately to the supervisor.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: ITI (Fitter, Turner, Mechanic, or Welder) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. (Basic school education with strong hands-on mechanical aptitude can also be considered).
- Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of hand tools (wrenches, spanners, hammers, grease guns).
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy parts, bend, and work in a dusty manufacturing environment.
- Attitude: Eager to learn, punctual, and capable of following safety instructions closely.
