About the Role
ISBR is looking for a dedicated and organized Chemistry & Physics Lab Incharge to manage and maintain the science laboratories. The ideal candidate should have strong laboratory management skills, ensure compliance with safety standards, and support faculty and students in conducting practical sessions effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Chemistry and Physics laboratories.
- Prepare laboratories for practical sessions as per the academic timetable.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, instruments, chemicals, glassware, and consumables.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of chemicals in accordance with safety protocols.
- Assist faculty during laboratory experiments and demonstrations.
- Maintain stock registers, issue registers, and laboratory inventory.
- Coordinate procurement of laboratory equipment, chemicals, and consumables.
- Ensure preventive maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments.
- Enforce laboratory safety procedures and maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
- Dispose of chemical waste as per institutional and environmental guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and readiness of laboratories at all times.
- Support accreditation, inspections, audits, and documentation related to laboratory operations.
Qualifications
- B.Sc./M.Sc. in Chemistry, Physics, or a related Science discipline.
- Diploma or certification in Laboratory Technology will be an added advantage.
- 2–5 years of experience in managing Chemistry and/or Physics laboratories, preferably in an educational institution.
Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of laboratory equipment and scientific instruments.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and chemical handling.
- Inventory and documentation management.
- Basic computer skills (MS Office, Excel).
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and students.
Preferred Candidate
- Experience in schools, colleges, or higher education institutions.
- Familiarity with laboratory accreditation and quality standards.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe laboratory environment.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per hour
