Job Summary
The FAE Manager – Embedded Software Tools will lead a team of Field Application Engineers supporting Qt (Development & QA tools), Wind River portfolio, and other COTS embedded software solutions.
This role combines technical leadership, customer engagement, pre-sales strategy, and business growth enablement. The manager will ensure successful tool adoption, solution delivery, and customer success, while driving revenue impact, competency development, and OEM/vendor alignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Lead, mentor, and scale a team of FAEs supporting Qt, Wind River, and COTS tools
- Define competency roadmap across:
- Qt Framework, Qt Creator, Qt for MCUs
- Qt QA tools (Squish, Coco)
- Wind River (VxWorks, Helix, Linux, Simics)
- Other embedded COTS Hardware
- Establish KPIs for productivity, customer success, and technical depth
- Customer Engagement & Solution Consulting
- Act as senior technical escalation point for key strategic customers
- Drive architecture-level discussions with engineering leaders and decision-makers
- Embedded GUI development (Qt)
- Software validation & test automation (Qt QA tools)
- RTOS & virtualization solutions (Wind River)
- Ensure successful tool evaluation POC deployment production adoption lifecycle
- Pre-sales & Business Support
- Partner with sales teams to drive technical wins and revenue growth
- Own technical qualification, demos, and solution positioning
- Lead large and strategic POCs, benchmarks, and competitive evaluations
- Customer presentations and workshops
- Solution Designand proposingappropriate tools
- Guide teams and customers in finalizing line items from following portfolio.
- Embedded UI/UX architectures using Qt
- Automated test frameworks using Qt QA (Squish, Coco)
- RTOS-based or Linux-based systems using Wind River
- Recommend best practices for:
- Test automation & coverage
- Safety & compliance (where applicable)
- Vendor & Product Alignment
- Act as the primary technical interface for principals (Qt Group, Wind River, etc.)
- Training & certification plans
- Provide structured feedback from customers to influence product enhancements
- Training, Enablement & Thought Leadership
- Conduct advanced technical workshops, seminars, and webinars
- Position the organization as a trusted advisor in embedded software tools

Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
- Electronics / Electrical Engineering
- Embedded Systems or related field
Experience
- 8–15 years in embedded systems, with:
- 3–5 years in leadership or team management roles
- Strong experience with at least two of the following domains:
- Qt framework / UI development
- Software testing & QA tools (e.g., Squish, Coco, LDRA, Parasoft, Vector)
- RTOS / Embedded Linux (preferably Wind River VxWorks / Linux)
- Experience in customer-facing roles (FAE, Solution Architect, Consultant)
Technical Skills
- Embedded systems expertise:
- RTOS, Linux, firmware development
- Device drivers / BSP understanding
Or Qt-Development tools
- Software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.)
- Communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, Ethernet)
- Aero Space and Defence market is preferred.
