We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Retail Store Manager to oversee daily operations of our confectionery and bakery retail outlet. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales, ensuring exceptional customer service, managing staff, maintaining product quality and hygiene standards, and achieving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities Store Operations
- Manage day-to-day store operations efficiently and profitably.
- Ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times.
- Monitor opening and closing procedures, cash handling, billing, and inventory controls.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and company standards.
Sales & Customer Service
- Achieve monthly sales and profitability targets.
- Deliver excellent customer service and handle customer queries or complaints professionally.
- Implement promotional activities, upselling strategies, and seasonal campaigns.
- Analyze sales performance and recommend improvement strategies.
Team Management
- Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate store staff.
- Prepare staff schedules and manage attendance.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching where needed.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment.
Inventory & Stock Management
- Monitor stock levels of bakery products, confectionery items, packaging materials, and supplies.
- Coordinate with production and suppliers to ensure timely replenishment.
- Minimize wastage and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Conduct regular stock audits.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure freshness and quality of all bakery and confectionery products.
- Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene practices.
- Ensure proper storage, display, and handling of products.
Reporting & Administration
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales and operational reports.
- Track KPIs such as sales, footfall, wastage, and staff productivity.
- Maintain proper documentation and store records.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Hospitality, or related field preferred.
- 3–6 years of experience in retail store management, preferably in bakery, confectionery, QSR, or FMCG retail.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Good understanding of retail operations and inventory management.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in POS systems and basic MS Office applications.
