Trainer – Accounts Assistant
Job Summary
The Trainer – Accounts Assistant is responsible for delivering quality training in accounting, bookkeeping, taxation basics, Tally, MS Office, and financial management concepts to students/candidates under various skill development programs. The trainer will ensure effective learning outcomes, maintain training records, support assessments, and enhance employability skills among trainees.
Key Responsibilities
Training Delivery
- Conduct classroom and practical training sessions for Accounts Assistant courses.
- Deliver training on:
- Basics of Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Journal, Ledger, Trial Balance
- GST basics and taxation concepts
- Tally ERP / Tally Prime
- MS Excel and Office tools
- Banking and financial procedures
- Prepare lesson plans, training materials, assignments, and assessments.
- Ensure training is aligned with SSC/NSDC/project guidelines.
Student Management
- Monitor trainee attendance and discipline.
- Guide students in practical assignments and projects.
- Provide mentoring and career guidance to trainees.
- Support trainees for assessments, certifications, and placements.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily training reports, attendance, batch records, and assessment data.
- Upload and update required data in MIS/portals.
- Coordinate with center staff for batch management and compliance documentation.
Assessment & Evaluation
- Conduct internal assessments and mock tests.
- Evaluate trainee performance and provide feedback for improvement.
- Prepare trainees for third-party assessments and interviews.
Industry & Placement Support
- Support placement activities and industry interactions.
- Assist trainees in resume preparation and interview readiness.
- Coordinate with placement teams for employment opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (B.Com) / M.Com / MBA (Finance) or equivalent.
- Certification in Tally/GST preferred.
- Additional certification in accounting or finance will be an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in accounting training or industry accounting work.
- Experience in skill development projects/NSDC programs preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes.
- Proficiency in Tally ERP/Tally Prime and MS Excel.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to handle classroom and practical sessions effectively.
- Basic knowledge of GST and taxation procedures.
- Documentation and reporting skills.
- Candidate counseling and mentoring abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in government skill development projects.
- Knowledge of digital accounting tools and online filing systems.
- Ability to train candidates from diverse educational backgrounds.
