About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented warehouse supervisor to manage our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have strong supervisory skills, a keen eye for process optimization, accountable for Inventory management and a commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards.
Warehouse officer Responsibilities and Duties
- Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, counting, physical checking and shipping of products.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff.
- Ensure inventory accuracy through regular audits and cycle counts.
- Implement and enforce safety and security procedures.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Train and evaluate warehouse employees.
- Monitor performance metrics and implement improvements as needed.
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, reporting, and documentation.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse operations and supervision.
- Strong supervisory and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) / ERP and inventory control.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
Education and Experience Requirements
- B.com/ bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Certifications in forklift operation or safety management are a plus.
