General Maintenance
- Supervise day-to-day maintenance activities throughout the hospital.
- Conduct regular inspections of hospital buildings, rooms, corridors, toilets, utility areas, and other facilities.
- Identify maintenance issues and ensure timely corrective action.
- Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Maintain proper records of all maintenance activities and complaints.
B. Electrical Systems
- Monitor electrical supply, distribution panels, wiring, lighting, sockets, and other electrical installations.
- Ensure proper functioning of generators, UPS systems, stabilisers, and emergency power supply.
- Coordinate electrical repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Ensure electrical safety standards are followed.
C. Plumbing and Water Supply
- Monitor water supply, plumbing systems, drainage, pumps, tanks, and sanitary facilities.
- Attend to water leakage, blockage, and other plumbing complaints promptly.
- Ensure regular cleaning and maintenance of water tanks and pumps.
D. HVAC and Facility Systems
- Monitor air-conditioning, ventilation, and cooling systems.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance and servicing of AC units and related equipment.
- Monitor temperature and ventilation requirements in critical areas such as OT, procedure rooms, laboratories, and patient areas.
E. Medical and Utility Support
- Coordinate with biomedical and clinical departments regarding maintenance-related issues.
- Ensure that essential medical utility systems are functioning properly.
- Immediately escalate any maintenance issue that may affect patient safety or hospital operations.
F. Preventive Maintenance
- Prepare and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, generator, pumps, and other facility systems.
- Ensure scheduled servicing is completed on time.
- Maintain maintenance checklists, service reports, and equipment records.
G. Vendor and Contractor Coordination
- Coordinate with external agencies, technicians, and service providers.
- Monitor the quality of work carried out by contractors.
- Verify completion of maintenance work before closing service requests.
- Assist management in obtaining quotations and comparing maintenance costs when required.
H. Emergency Response
- Attend to urgent maintenance complaints immediately, particularly those affecting patient care, OT, ICU, emergency areas, power supply, water supply, or safety.
- Support the hospital team during emergencies, power failures, equipment breakdowns, fire incidents, and other facility-related emergencies.
- Participate in hospital safety drills and emergency preparedness activities.
I. Safety and Compliance
- Ensure maintenance work is carried out according to hospital safety procedures.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and safety equipment by maintenance staff.
- Report unsafe conditions immediately to management.
- Support NABH and other accreditation requirements related to facility and maintenance management.
- Ensure required maintenance registers and records are updated and available for inspection.
J. Staff Supervision
- Supervise maintenance workers, electricians, plumbers, technicians, and outsourced maintenance staff.
- Allocate daily duties and monitor work completion.
- Ensure staff attendance, punctuality, discipline, and proper conduct.
- Provide guidance and basic training to maintenance staff regarding safety and hospital procedures.
3. Documentation and Records
Maintain and regularly update:
- Preventive maintenance register
- Breakdown maintenance register
- Daily maintenance complaint register
- Generator and UPS maintenance records
- Electrical inspection records
- Plumbing and water supply records
- HVAC maintenance records
- Vendor/service reports
- AMC records
- Fire and safety-related maintenance records
- Maintenance inventory and spare-parts records
4. Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma / ITI / Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or related technical field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant maintenance experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare facility.
- Experience in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, generator, and general building maintenance is preferred.
- Knowledge of hospital safety standards and maintenance documentation is an advantage.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
