Sambhav Jain Atelier (SJA) is seeking a talented and driven Mid-Level Interior Designer to join our design team. The ideal candidate should combine strong creative thinking with technical expertise and an understanding of how exceptional design translates into functional, sophisticated, and highly detailed spaces.
Your Role
As a Mid-Level Interior Designer at SJA, your role is to combine creativity and technical knowledge with practical and commercial understanding to create functionally beautiful spaces for our clients.
You should possess exceptional design sensibilities, a strong background in Interior Design or Architecture with a focus on interiors, and a portfolio demonstrating innovative concepts, refined detailing, and successfully executed projects.
What You Will Do
Perform interior design assignments including interpreting client requirements, space planning, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, and construction documentation.
Work independently and exercise sound judgment in the evaluation, selection, adaptation, and modification of design techniques, materials, and detailing.
Participate in the selection and presentation of furniture, FF&E, fabrics, equipment, colour palettes, materials, finishes, and lighting.
Develop designs using 3D modelling and visualization software such as SketchUp, Revit, 3ds Max, or other relevant software to effectively communicate design concepts.
Prepare interior finish plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, detailed drawings, specifications, and material selections required for execution and construction.
Provide design support, detailing, and documentation throughout the development and execution of design concepts.
Coordinate with external consultants, contractors, product representatives, furniture dealers, vendors, and fabricators.
Guide and mentor junior designers while reviewing their work and supporting their professional development.
Collaborate closely with other designers and professional staff to maintain consistency and quality across projects.
Participate in site visits and coordinate with execution teams to ensure that the approved design intent is accurately translated on site.
Contribute to SJA's internal design initiatives, material research, knowledge sharing, and studio development.
Your Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field from an accredited institution.
6–10 years of professional interior design experience.
Strong understanding of interior architecture, space planning, detailing, materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and execution.
Proficiency in relevant design and modelling software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3ds Max, Rhino, Grasshopper, or equivalent programs.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite applications, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
Strong knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, colour selection, specifications, and FF&E.
Strong graphic presentation and visualization skills with the ability to clearly communicate design ideas.
Good understanding of construction methods, interior detailing, and site execution.
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and coordinate effectively with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and vendors.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
A refined design sensibility with exceptional attention to detail.
Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
