Technical Skills Required
- Knowledge of kiln operation (rotary kiln)
- Understanding of temperature control systems
- Ability to monitor:
Ø Pressure
Ø Fuel flow
Ø Air flow
Ø Material feed rate
Ability to read gauges, control panels, and production reports
Work Experience
- Entry Level: 1–2 years in plant operations (helper/assistant role)
- Mid-Level Operator: 3–5 years of kiln or process plant experience
- Senior Operator: 5+ years in rotatory kiln
Key Responsibilities
Ø Start-up and shutdown of the kiln system
Ø Monitor kiln temperature and pressure
Ø Adjust fuel and air ratios
Ø Ensure product quality standards are met
Ø Record production data
Ø Identify operational abnormalities
Ø Coordinate with the maintenance team
Ø Follow safety procedures
- Strong attention to detail
- Problem-solving ability
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work in shifts
- Knowledge of industrial safety standards
- Physical fitness (heat environment tolerance)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in high-temperature environments
- Ability to stand for long hours
- Ability to lift moderate weight if required
- Comfortable working in noisy and dusty conditions
