We are seeking a Desktop Support Engineer with a minimum of 1 year of experience to provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, biometric devices, and other IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate should possess strong troubleshooting skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to resolving technical issues while ensuring minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, workstations, and peripherals.
- Install, configure, and maintain printers, scanners, biometric devices, and other IT hardware.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and application-related issues.
- Install, configure, and support Windows 10/11 operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Configure and troubleshoot Microsoft Outlook and Office 365.
- Manage user accounts, password resets, and access permissions in Active Directory.
- Troubleshoot LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, internet connectivity, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP-related issues.
- Install software updates, security patches, drivers, and antivirus solutions.
- Configure and troubleshoot network printers and shared devices.
- Provide remote and onsite technical support to end users.
- Maintain IT asset inventory, including desktops, laptops, printers, biometric devices, and accessories.
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs, warranty claims, and AMC services.
- Document incidents, service requests, and resolutions in the IT ticketing system.
- Ensure compliance with IT security policies and maintain system reliability.
Required Skills
- Experience supporting desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and biometric devices.
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office 365.
- Experience with Active Directory, user account management, and Group Policy.
- Good understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN).
- Knowledge of hardware troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
- Experience with remote desktop support tools.
- Basic knowledge of endpoint security and antivirus solutions.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and provide timely technical support.
