Role Summary
The CT / MRI Technician is responsible for independently performing all imaging procedures including CT, MRI, Mammography, and X-ray, ensuring high-quality imaging, patient safety, and supporting radiologists through image quality checks and report validation coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform CT, MRI, Mammography, X-ray & mamogram procedures independently
- Ensure proper patient preparation, positioning, and protocol selection
- Maintain high standards of image quality and diagnostic accuracy
- Assist Radiologists in technical image review and report validation processes
- Follow radiation safety and MRI safety protocols strictly
- Administer contrast media as per protocol and certification guidelines
- Maintain PACS/RIS documentation and imaging records accurately
- Perform routine equipment quality checks and report technical issues promptly
- Ensure compliance with NABH / NABL / AERB standards and audit requirements
- Provide compassionate patient care and maintain professional conduct at all times
Qualifications
- Diploma / B.Sc. in Radiology / Medical Imaging Technology
- Certification in CT / MRI Technology preferred
- Valid statutory council registration (if applicable)
Experience Requirement
5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in:
- CT imaging
- MRI imaging
- Mammography and X-ray procedures
- Independently handling all radiology scans
- Image quality checks and report validation coordination
Skills & Competencies
- Strong technical knowledge of CT, MRI, Mammography, and X-ray modalities
- Excellent patient-handling and communication skills
- Attention to detail and quality assurance mindset
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Capability to work in rotational shifts and emergency situations
- Good documentation and reporting skills
