Job description:
We are looking for a dedicated, hardworking, and responsible Farm Supervisor to oversee day-to-day farm operations and support the overall development of the farm. The ideal candidate should be willing to work on the field, manage labour activities, monitor crops, and ensure smooth farm functioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily farm operations and maintenance activities.
- Monitor crop growth and ensure timely agricultural practices are carried out.
- Plan and coordinate planting, watering, harvesting, and other farm activities.
- Oversee irrigation systems and ensure efficient water management.
- Manage and coordinate farm workers, assigning tasks and monitoring productivity.
- Support land preparation, cleaning, and farm development projects.
- Maintain farm infrastructure, equipment, and working areas.
- Ensure compliance with safety practices and proper use of farm resources.
- Keep records of farm activities and provide regular progress updates to management.
- Identify operational challenges and suggest practical solutions for improving farm productivity.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Horticulture, or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in farming, agricultural operations, or farm supervision (preferred).
- Good understanding of crop cultivation, irrigation practices, and farm maintenance.
- Ability to manage and motivate farm labour effectively.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and reporting abilities.
- Ability to work independently and handle responsibilities on-site.
- Physically fit and willing to work in outdoor farm conditions.
- Willingness to reside at the farm location.
