Deepak Transexpress is a trusted name in the Express Cargo & Parcel Transportation industry with over 65 years of excellence. We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Executive to join our Head Office team.
The ideal candidate should possess strong accounting knowledge and be capable of independently handling bookkeeping, branch accounting, reconciliations, and day-to-day financial operations. The role also involves coordinating the accounting activities of our group businesses.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain day-to-day accounting records in the company's ERP system.
- Handle bookkeeping for individual accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
- Perform branch account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and reconcile Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS).
- Verify and audit branch expenses and supporting documents.
- Maintain the daily cash book and cash transactions.
- Coordinate accounting activities for other group businesses and ensure timely completion of accounting records.
- Prepare MIS reports, reconciliations, and financial statements as required.
- Deduct and account for TDS and maintain related records.
- Coordinate with branch offices regarding accounting queries and documentation.
- Assist in monthly and year-end closing of accounts.
- Support internal audits, statutory audits, tax audits, and finalization of accounts.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and statutory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- B.Com / M.Com or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Working knowledge of ERP/accounting software.
- Good knowledge of TDS provisions, deductions, accounting, and compliance.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Skills
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, IF Formula, XLOOKUP, basic data analysis).
- Experience in the Transport, Logistics, Cargo, or Courier industry will be an added advantage.
- Experience in branch accounting and multi-entity accounting.
