Job Description:
The Senior Software Engineer (.NET Stack) is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-quality software solutions using Microsoft .NET technologies. This role plays a key part in technical design, implementation, code quality, and mentoring, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams across the full software development lifecycle (SDLC). The ideal candidate demonstrates strong hands-on expertise, sound architectural judgment, and a commitment to building reliable, maintainable systems.
Responsibilities:
Software Design & Development
Design, develop, test, and maintain robust, scalable applications using the .NET stack
Translate business requirements into well-designed technical solutions
Contribute to system architecture, design patterns, and technical decision-making
Develop clean, secure, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards
Technical Leadership & Code Quality
Perform code reviews to ensure code quality, performance, security, and maintainability
Guide and mentor junior and mid-level engineers, sharing best practices and technical knowledge
Proactively identify technical debt and drive refactoring or improvement initiatives
Collaboration & Delivery
Collaborate with product owners, architects, QA engineers, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality features
Participate in backlog grooming, sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives
Work closely with QA teams to ensure automated and manual test coverage
Support production deployments and troubleshoot issues in live environments
Performance, Scalability & Security
Optimize application performance and scalability for high-availability systems
Ensure applications adhere to security standards and compliance requirements
Design and build RESTful APIs and service integrations
Documentation & Process Improvement
Create and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, and implementation guides
Continuously improving development processes, tools, and engineering practices
Follow and help enforce organizational standards, policies, and SDLC processes
Technical Requirements
Core Technologies
Strong experience with C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core / .NET 6+
Solid knowledge of Desktop Apps, ASP.NET / ASP.NET Core, Web APIs, and MVC architecture
Experience with RESTful services, JSON, and API integration
Proficiency with Entity Framework / Entity Framework Core and ORM concepts
Databases & Data Access
Strong experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, including query optimization and performance tuning
Exposure to NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB) is a plus
Frontend & Integration (Good to Have)
Working knowledge of frontend technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, or React
Experience in integrating third-party services and APIs
DevOps & Tooling
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, build tools, and deployment automation
Experience with Git or similar version control systems
Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS is preferred
Methodologies & Practices
Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles, design patterns, and SOLID principles
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Knowledge of unit testing, integration testing, and test-driven development (TDD)
Soft Skills
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams
Ability to take ownership of complex systems and lead initiatives end to end
Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a equivalent
6+ years of professional experience in software development using the .NET stack
