Position: Chemistry Teacher – Organic Chemistry Specialist

Reports To: Academic Coordinator / Centre Head
Location: Gurugram (In-Person)
Experience: 4–8 years of teaching experience in Organic Chemistry for CBSE, ICSE, ISC, IGCSE, IB, JEE Main & Advanced, NEET, or equivalent competitive examination coaching.
Role Summary
Asymptotes Global is seeking a passionate and highly experienced Organic Chemistry Specialist who can simplify complex concepts and inspire students to excel in Chemistry. The ideal candidate should possess deep conceptual knowledge of Organic Chemistry, proven success in preparing students for board and competitive examinations, and the ability to create engaging, application-oriented learning experiences.
The teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality classroom and online instruction, developing academic content, mentoring students, analysing performance, and contributing to curriculum enhancement while maintaining the highest academic standards.
Key Responsibilities Teaching & Learning
- Plan and deliver engaging, concept-driven Organic Chemistry lessons aligned with CBSE, ICSE, ISC, IGCSE, IB, JEE Main & Advanced, NEET, and other relevant curricula.
- Develop detailed lesson plans, lecture notes, presentations, assignments, worksheets, and laboratory demonstrations where applicable.
- Explain complex Organic Chemistry concepts using practical examples, visual models, reaction mechanisms, and problem-solving techniques.
- Conduct classroom and online sessions while maintaining excellent classroom management and student engagement.
- Ensure timely completion of syllabus as per academic calendar.
Academic Excellence
- Prepare high-quality question banks, mock tests, chapter tests, revision modules, and examination papers.
- Evaluate answer scripts and provide detailed, constructive feedback.
- Identify learning gaps through performance analysis and conduct remedial or advanced sessions accordingly.
- Mentor students in exam strategy, time management, problem-solving techniques, and conceptual clarity.
Student Development
- Track academic progress through continuous assessments.
- Maintain records of attendance, assessments, and qualitative performance observations.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding academic progress, behavioural observations, and improvement plans.
- Motivate students towards academic excellence and scientific curiosity.
Curriculum Development
- Develop innovative teaching methodologies and digital learning resources.
- Contribute to curriculum planning, content standardisation, and academic research.
- Create challenging assignments and higher-order thinking questions for advanced learners.
- Stay updated with the latest examination patterns and curriculum changes.
Institutional Responsibilities
- Participate in faculty meetings, training programmes, workshops, and professional development initiatives.
- Assist in organising Olympiads, quizzes, science exhibitions, workshops, seminars, and academic events.
- Collaborate with fellow faculty members to improve academic outcomes.
- Maintain confidentiality, discipline, and student safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree (M.Sc.) in Chemistry (Organic Chemistry specialization preferred).
- B.Ed. is preferred.
- Additional certifications in teaching or competitive exam mentoring will be an advantage.
