Job Summary
The UKG Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and stimulating learning environment that promotes the overall development of children aged 5–6 years. The teacher plans and delivers age-appropriate lessons, fosters social and emotional growth, and prepares students for a smooth transition to primary school.
Key Responsibilities:-
Academic Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver daily lessons as per the school's curriculum.
- Develop children's literacy, numeracy, communication, and cognitive skills.
- Teach phonics, reading readiness, basic mathematics, environmental awareness, and creative activities.
- Prepare and implement weekly and monthly lesson plans.
- Use activity-based and experiential learning methods.
- Maintain students' academic records, portfolios, and assessment reports.
Classroom Management
- Create a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Maintain discipline using positive reinforcement techniques.
- Ensure classroom cleanliness, organization, and attractive learning displays.
- Supervise children during classroom activities, assemblies, and school events.
Student Development
- Encourage curiosity, creativity, confidence, and independent learning.
- Support children's emotional, physical, social, and intellectual development.
- Identify students requiring additional academic or behavioural support.
- Promote good manners, hygiene, and healthy habits.
Assessment & Documentation
- Conduct regular observations and assessments.
- Prepare progress reports and report cards.
- Maintain attendance registers and student records.
- Document students' learning outcomes and developmental milestones.
Parent Communication
- Attend Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs).
- Communicate students' progress and concerns with parents.
- Provide guidance to parents for supporting learning at home.
- Respond professionally to parent queries.
School Responsibilities
- Participate in school assemblies, celebrations, competitions, and special events.
- Assist in admission-related activities and orientation programmes.
- Attend staff meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
- Follow all school policies, child safety guidelines, and CBSE/NEP recommendations (where applicable).
- Perform other duties assigned by the Principal or Management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
- Diploma or Certification in Nursery Teacher Training (NTT), Early Childhood Care & Education (ECCE), D.El.Ed., or equivalent qualification.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written).
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, email, smart classroom tools).

Experience
- 1–3 years of teaching experience in Pre-Primary/Kindergarten is preferred.
- Freshers with relevant qualifications and strong teaching skills may also be considered.
Working Conditions
- Full-time position as per school working hours.
- Participation in school events, PTMs, training programmes, and extracurricular activities as required.
Pay: ₹20,052.00 - ₹25,671.00 per month
