An Automobile Spare Parts Incharge (or Parts Manager) oversees the efficient daily operations of an automotive parts department. They manage procurement, maintain inventory control, and ensure parts are available for internal service bays and retail customers to maximize departmental profitability. Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Control: Forecast stock needs, monitor inventory turns, minimize obsolescence, and conduct physical audits.
- Procurement & Logistics: Place purchase orders, coordinate with suppliers, track deliveries, and process warranty returns or incomplete orders.
- Service Department Collaboration: Partner with service managers to ensure replacement components are ready for scheduled repair jobs, reducing vehicle turnaround time.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and schedule parts counter and warehouse personnel.
- Customer & Vendor Relations: Assist customers with identifying parts, address complaints, and maintain relationships with vendors.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Typically requires a high school diploma, ITI, or a diploma/degree in engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience: Usually 2 to 5+ years of relevant stockroom or Spare Parts Operations In-Charge experience within an automobile dealership or service center.
- Technical Skills: Sound knowledge of automotive systems, ERP/SAP systems, and inventory management software.
- Soft Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving capabilities
Pay: ₹15,500.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
