The Intern is responsible for providing & managing set pricing process and drives improvement in gross margins by providing visibility to all components of the value chain and may interact with Global counterparts to ensure implementation of best practices. This individual is a thought leader & who performs independently and has demonstrated the ability to effectively interact and influence peers and the next level up in organizations (Avient and Customer).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Drives profitable growth, gross margin targets as a percentage of sales and gross margin percentage expansion.

Understands and leads pricing practices to ensure price for value and gross margin expansion.

Monitors business results. Initiates and updates Strategic Plan in conjunction with management in each region.

Ability to update quote tool monthly.

Evaluates the effectiveness of value delivery from the pricing strategy and tactical execution.

Ensures products and customers’ sales records are analyzed and performance is evaluated against targets. Monitors product gross margins and profitability against control standards. Reviews product prices, approves price deviations, discontinues unprofitable products, and implements price increases and price hold strategies.

Develops or reviews product forecasts for management approval. Monitors business results.

Collaborate with various internal departments to optimize Pricing function

Generate pricing reports and provide insights based on profitability data.

Maintain accurate documentation and records.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Supports the department with all necessary project work.

Other duties/projects as assigned.
Any Bachelors in any Science / engineering discipline (Business Analytics, data science field are preferred)
