purpose of the Role
The Sales Officer will be responsible for driving secondary sales, expanding market reach, strengthening distributor and retailer relationships, ensuring product availability and visibility, and achieving sales targets within the assigned territory.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Development
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Drive secondary sales through distributors and retail channels.
- Increase market penetration and product reach in the assigned territory.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities.
Distribution Management
- Appoint and manage distributors as per company guidelines.
- Strengthen distributor-retailer relationships.
- Monitor distributor stock levels and ensure product availability.
- Improve distributor productivity and operational efficiency.
Retail Expansion & Coverage
- Increase active retailer coverage and outlet productivity.
- Ensure range selling and improve range billing across outlets.
- Identify and onboard new retailers to expand market presence.
- Maintain regular market visits as per the Permanent Journey Plan (PJP).
Merchandising & Promotions
- Ensure proper product display and visibility at retail outlets.
- Execute company promotional schemes and trade marketing activities.
- Support demand generation initiatives and local market activations.
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and promotional campaigns.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key stakeholders.
- Resolve distributor and retailer issues promptly and professionally.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service quality.
Reporting & Market Intelligence
- Submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
- Share market feedback, competitor insights, and business opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of sales, collections, and retailer coverage.
Educational Qualification
- Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.
Experience Required
- 2–10 years of experience in Retail Sales & Distribution.
- Experience in Footwear industry preferred.
- Candidates from FMCG, FMCD, Consumer Durables, or related industries may also apply.

Salary & Benefits
