We are seeking a skilled and motivated Solar Installer / Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing solar PV systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. The candidate should have hands-on experience with solar panel installation, electrical wiring, and safety procedures.
Responsibilities
- Install solar PV panels, mounting structures, inverters, batteries, and related solar equipment.
- Perform electrical wiring, cable routing, and connections as per project specifications.
- Conduct site assessments and assist with solar system installation planning.
- Ensure proper alignment, positioning, and secure installation of solar modules.
- Perform testing and commissioning of solar systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to solar panels, inverters, batteries, and electrical components.
- Carry out preventive maintenance and repair work on existing solar installations.
- Follow electrical codes, safety standards, and company installation procedures.
- Maintain accurate installation records, service reports, and documentation.
- Coordinate with project engineers, supervisors, and customers during installation activities.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and safety gear in good working condition.
Requirements
- ITI/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Renewable Energy, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience as a Solar Installer, Solar Technician, Electrician, or similar role.
- Knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, batteries, and electrical components.
- Basic understanding of electrical wiring, testing instruments, and safety practices.
- Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams and installation drawings.
- Comfortable working at heights and in outdoor environments.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with rooftop solar installations.
- Knowledge of net metering and solar system commissioning processes.
- Experience handling tools such as multimeters, crimping tools, drilling machines, and electrical testing equipment.
- Familiarity with safety standards for electrical and rooftop work.
