Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Computer Science Teacher to teach students from Grades V–X under the CBSE curriculum. The ideal candidate should have strong subject knowledge, the ability to make technology concepts engaging and practical, and a commitment to developing students' digital literacy, computational thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Computer Science to students from Grades V–X in accordance with the school curriculum
- Prepare lesson plans, assignments, projects, assessments, and learning materials
- Introduce students to computer fundamentals, digital tools, coding concepts, and emerging technologies appropriate to their grade levels
- Conduct practical sessions and guide students in hands-on learning activities
- Assess student performance through tests, projects, assignments, and classroom participation
- Monitor academic progress and provide additional support where required
- Maintain student records, assessment data, and academic reports
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings and academic review discussions
- Collaborate with colleagues for curriculum planning and interdisciplinary activities
- Contribute to school events, clubs, competitions, and co-curricular programs
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications, or a related field
- B.Ed. preferred / as per CBSE norms
Experience:
- Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience
- Experience teaching Computer Science in CBSE schools is preferred
Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals and school-level programming concepts
- Ability to make technology and coding concepts engaging and easy to understand
- Effective classroom management and communication skills
- Student-centric and activity-based teaching approach
- Familiarity with educational technology and digital learning tools
- English communication skills mandatory; Kannada is an advantage
