Job Summary
We are seeking competent and proactive Legal Assistants with hands-on experience in
corporate legal matters, litigation, and compliance. The role involves managing legal
documentation, supporting litigation (including Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments
Act), and ensuring corporate and international compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Litigation & Dispute Management
- Assist in handling civil, commercial, and corporate litigation matters
- Support Section 138 NI Act cases from notice stage to trial and execution
- Draft legal notices, replies, pleadings, and submissions
- Coordinate with advocates, courts, and statutory authorities
- Maintain litigation records and track case progress
Corporate & Non-Litigation
- Draft, review, and vet contracts, agreements, NDAs, and commercial documents
- Provide legal support on corporate and contractual matters
- Assist in negotiations, due diligence, and internal approvals
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure statutory, regulatory, corporate, and international compliance
- Maintain compliance trackers, MIS reports, and documentation
- Support audits, inspections, and regulatory filings
HR & Employment Law Support
- Assist in employment documentation, policies, and compliance
- Vet appointment letters, contracts, and HR policies Support labour law compliance and HR coordination
Documentation & Records
- Maintain records of litigation, agreements, notices, and filings
- Prepare periodic legal status reports for management
Coordination & Representation
- Act as liaison between management, external counsels, and authorities
- Support legal engagements and meetings with regulators and stakeholders
Eligibility & Skills
- Law Graduate (LLB mandatory)
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in corporate litigation and compliance
- Knowledge of Section 138 NI Act proceedings
- Strong drafting, legal research, and analytical skills
- Familiarity with court procedures and legal documentation
- Ability to manage multiple matters independently
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Preferred Profile
- Prior experience with law firms or in-house legal teams
- Exposure to MSME matters, contracts, and compliance
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and solution-driven
