Key Responsibilities
Solution Architecture & Design
Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective GCP-based architectures.
Define reference architectures, patterns, and best practices for cloud adoption.
Conduct architecture reviews to ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
Cloud Implementation & Migration
Lead GCP migration projects, including lift-and-shift, re-platforming, and modernization.
Implement GCP services such as Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Cloud Functions, and Pub/Sub.
Collaborate with application, network, and security teams for seamless deployment.
Security, Compliance & Governance
Implement GCP Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies, service accounts, and VPC configurations.
Ensure compliance with enterprise security frameworks and regulatory requirements (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, etc.).
Integrate security monitoring tools like Cloud Security Command Center and Chronicle.
Performance & Cost Optimization
Monitor workloads for performance and optimize resource utilization.
Implement FinOps practices using GCP Cost Management tools.
Collaboration & Leadership
Work closely with DevOps, Data Engineering, and Security teams.
Mentor junior engineers and support cross-functional training initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
Strong hands-on experience with GCP core services (Compute Engine, GKE, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, IAM, VPC, Pub/Sub).
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / Deployment Manager).
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
Knowledge of container orchestration (Kubernetes, Anthos).
Experience with monitoring tools (Stackdriver, Prometheus, Grafana).
Professional Skills
Strong architectural thinking with ability to produce high-quality documentation.
Good understanding of networking concepts (VPC, VPN, Interconnect, DNS).
Problem-solving mindset with a focus on automation and scalability.
Certifications (Preferred)
Google Professional Cloud Architect
Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer
Kubernetes Certified Administrator (CKA)
Experience
10+ years in IT, with at least 7+ years in GCP cloud architecture or engineering.

Dataflow / Dataproc for data processing
Security tools like Prisma Cloud, Lacework, or Wiz for GCP
