Position Overview
BharatCares is seeking a passionate Life Skills Trainer to strengthen leadership, confidence, and life skills among adolescent girls through structured training and mentoring. The role involves delivering life skills sessions, building the capacity of adolescent leaders, coordinating with government stakeholders, and supporting school and community-based interventions.
The ideal candidate should have strong facilitation skills, experience working with adolescents and communities, and a passion for empowering young girls to become community leaders.
Key Responsibilities1. Capacity Building & Training
- Conduct interactive life skills, leadership, health, and personal development training sessions for adolescent girls.
- Build the capacity of Kishori Leaders (Priya Sakhis) and Girl Champions to independently facilitate peer-learning sessions.
- Mentor Girl Champions and provide regular coaching to improve facilitation and leadership skills.
- Assess learning outcomes and provide continuous feedback for improvement.
2. Leadership Development
- Strengthen confidence, communication, decision-making, problem-solving, and leadership skills among adolescent girls.
- Encourage girls to become peer educators and change-makers within their schools and communities.
- Support Girl Champions in preparing and implementing school and community action plans.
3. Community & Stakeholder Engagement
- Conduct orientation sessions for ASHAs, Anganwadi Workers (AWWs), teachers, parents, Gram Panchayat members, and community leaders.
- Build strong relationships with schools, community institutions, and frontline workers to strengthen program implementation.
- Facilitate community awareness sessions and stakeholder meetings.
4. Health & Government Linkages
- Support adolescent girls in accessing government health services and welfare schemes.
- Coordinate with health departments, Health Posts, PHCs, and frontline workers for timely referrals and service delivery.
- Promote awareness on adolescent health, nutrition, hygiene, and wellbeing.
5. Government & Panchayat Coordination
- Coordinate with Gram Panchayats, Education, Health, ICDS, and Women & Child Development departments.
- Participate in village- and block-level review meetings and coordination forums.
- Facilitate convergence with relevant government schemes for adolescent girls.
6. Monitoring, Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain attendance records, training reports, beneficiary trackers, and field documentation.
- Update project MIS and monitoring tools accurately and on time.
- Document success stories, best practices, case studies, and lessons learned.
- Submit weekly and monthly progress reports to the Project Coordinator.
7. Field Monitoring & Quality Assurance
- Conduct regular school and community visits to monitor training quality and participant engagement.
- Ensure activities are implemented as per project guidelines and quality standards.
- Identify implementation challenges and recommend practical solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work (MSW), Psychology, Sociology, Education, Rural Development, Public Health, Child Development, or a related discipline.
Experience
- 2–4 years of experience in training, adolescent development, life skills education, community mobilisation, women empowerment, education, or CSR/NGO projects.
- Experience working with schools, adolescent girls, or community-based development programs will be preferred.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
