Marketing Manager
Experience: 4–7 Years | Reports to: Founder / Business Head
Role Overview
The Marketing Manager will serve as the market-facing engine of the organisation — responsible for building brand authority in the agri-tech space, driving mill onboarding pipeline, and positioning the product as the definitive Rice Mill Management System across India's key rice-producing states.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the go-to-market strategy targeting rice mills, FPOs, and agricultural cooperatives across major producing states
- Own the complete content marketing programme — blogs, case studies, whitepapers, and agri-tech thought leadership that drives SEO and inbound pipeline
- Plan and manage demand generation campaigns across digital channels: Google Ads, LinkedIn, Meta, and WhatsApp Business
- Build and maintain relationships with industry bodies, mandi associations, rice exporters' federations, and government agri portals
- Lead product marketing efforts: positioning documents, competitive battlecards, pitch decks, and sales enablement collateral
- Manage and grow the brand's presence at agri-expos, government exhibitions, and trade conferences (e.g., Agriexpo, Indusfood)
- Oversee the marketing budget, track CAC and MQL/SQL conversion metrics, and report performance to leadership monthly
- Collaborate with Product and Sales teams to craft launch campaigns for new modules and regional market expansions
- Build and nurture an early-adopter community of mill operators through webinars, training sessions, and referral programmes
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 4–7 years of B2B marketing experience, ideally in SaaS, agri-tech, or enterprise software
- Proven track record of driving pipeline through digital marketing, content, and field events
- Strong understanding of the Indian agriculture sector — regional dynamics, supply chain stakeholders, and government schemes (PM-FME, eNAM, APMC)
- Proficiency in marketing automation tools (HubSpot / Zoho CRM / Mailchimp) and analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Mixpanel)
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Hindi; regional languages (Telugu, Tamil, Punjabi) are a strong bonus
- Experience managing agencies, freelancers, and creative vendors for design, video, and digital production
- Ability to work in ambiguous, high-growth startup environments with lean resources
- Data-driven mindset — comfortable setting OKRs, tracking funnels, and optimising based on real metrics
