Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and smooth functioning of the hospital's infrastructure, utilities, and equipment. The role ensures a safe, efficient, and compliant environment for patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of hospital facilities and equipment.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and civil maintenance issues.
- Monitor the functioning of generators, UPS systems, water pumps, air conditioning units, and other utility systems.
- Ensure uninterrupted operation of hospital infrastructure and respond promptly to maintenance requests.
- Coordinate with external vendors for servicing, repairs, and annual maintenance contracts (AMCs).
- Maintain maintenance logs, service records, and equipment history.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential hazards and repair requirements.
- Ensure compliance with hospital safety standards, fire safety norms, and statutory regulations.
- Assist during emergency situations by restoring critical utility services.
- Monitor inventory of maintenance tools, spare parts, and consumables.
- Support installation and commissioning of new equipment and infrastructure.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance work areas.
Qualifications
- ITI/Diploma in Electrician, Mechanical, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or a related technical trade.
- Certification in electrical or maintenance work is preferred.
Experience
- 2–5 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a hospital, healthcare facility, hotel, or commercial building.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance.
- Basic troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Understanding of safety regulations and preventive maintenance practices.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts, weekends, and emergency situations.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
