Job Title: Nursing Superintendent (NS)

Reports To: Medical Superintendent / Hospital Administrator
Job Summary:
The Nursing Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all nursing operations, ensuring high standards of patient care, managing nursing staff, coordinating with medical departments, and maintaining compliance with hospital policies and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage nursing staff across all units.
- Ensure quality patient care and nursing practices.
- Prepare duty rosters and manage staffing requirements.
- Monitor compliance with hospital policies, NABH standards, and infection control protocols.
- Conduct staff training and performance evaluations.
- Coordinate with doctors and other departments for smooth patient care.
- Manage nursing documentation, audits, and reports.
Qualifications:
- B.Sc. Nursing / M.Sc. Nursing, GNM Nursing.
- Valid Nursing Council Registration ( WBNC).
Experience:
- 12–17 years of nursing experience, with leadership or supervisory experience in a hospital setting.
Skills:
- Leadership and team management.
- Clinical and patient care expertise.
- Communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of hospital quality and accreditation standards.
