Education Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or higher with minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
Position Description:
Key Responsibilities
Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into application solutions.
Design, develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications.
Write and modify COBOL programs, JCL jobs, CICS transactions, and DB2 queries.
Perform unit testing, system testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and performance bottlenecks.
Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards.
Develop and maintain technical documentation.
Support batch processing and online transaction systems.
Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and project stakeholders.
Participate in application modernization and migration initiatives where applicable.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of hands-on experience in mainframe development.
Strong experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS.
Experience working in production support and enhancement projects.
Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Banking, Insurance, Financial Services, Healthcare, or Retail domains.
Exposure to Agile development methodologies.
Experience with mainframe modernization projects.
Knowledge of APIs, distributed systems, or cloud integration is a plus.
Familiarity with DevOps practices in mainframe environments.
