Job Summary
The Factory Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations within the factory to ensure maximum equipment efficiency, minimum downtime, and safe production operations. The role includes managing preventive and corrective maintenance, supervising maintenance staff, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and improving machine reliability and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and supervise all factory maintenance activities
- Develop preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for machinery and equipment
- Ensure smooth operation of production machines and utility systems
- Minimize machine downtime and improve equipment performance
- Lead troubleshooting and repair of mechanical and electrical breakdowns
- Supervise maintenance technicians, electricians, fitters, and contractors
- Monitor and maintain factory utilities such as compressors, generators, boilers, and HVAC systems
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and factory regulations
- Maintain maintenance records, reports, and equipment history
- Control maintenance budgets and spare parts inventory
- Coordinate with production teams to schedule maintenance without affecting output
- Implement continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives
- Ensure proper installation and commissioning of new machinery
- Conduct staff training on maintenance procedures and safety practices
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of industrial machinery and factory equipment
- Leadership and team management skills
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting expertise
- Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance systems
- Familiarity with PLC systems, automation, and industrial safety standards
- Good planning, communication, and organizational skills

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
- 10–20 years of factory or manufacturing maintenance experience
- Previous supervisory or managerial experience preferred
