Placement Officer – BBA & BCA

Position: Placement Officer – BBA & BCA

Location: Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh
Employment Type: Full-Time
1. Job Purpose
The Placement Officer will be responsible for developing and managing the end-to-end placement and internship activities for BBA and BCA students. The officer will establish strong relationships with corporates, HR professionals, recruiters, startups, IT companies and industry partners to generate quality opportunities for students.
The position will focus on improving placement numbers, quality of recruiters, internship opportunities, average salary packages, student employability and industry engagement.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Corporate Relations & Business Development
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with HR Heads, Talent Acquisition Managers, Corporate Recruiters and industry professionals.
- Identify and approach new companies for campus placements, internships, live projects and industrial exposure.
- Build a strong database of companies and HR/recruitment contacts across India.
- Establish long-term corporate relationships and explore opportunities for MoUs, industry partnerships and recurring recruitment.
- Conduct regular corporate visits and meetings with prospective recruiters.
- Leverage alumni, professional networks, LinkedIn and other platforms for generating placement opportunities.
- Prepare and share institute/student profiles with prospective employers.
B. Campus Placement Management
- Plan and execute the complete placement cycle from company identification to final joining.
- Invite companies for campus recruitment drives.
- Coordinate Pre-Placement Talks (PPTs), aptitude tests, group discussions, technical interviews, HR interviews and final selections.
- Coordinate with recruiters regarding eligibility criteria, job descriptions, salary packages and recruitment schedules.
- Ensure smooth conduct of online/offline recruitment drives.
- Maintain complete records of selected students, offers, joining status and placement outcomes.
- Follow up with selected students and companies until the date of joining.
C. BBA Placement Responsibilities
Special focus should be given to companies offering opportunities in:
- Marketing & Digital Marketing
- Banking, Financial Services & Insurance (BFSI)
- Human Resource Management
- Business Operations
- Management Trainee roles
- Retail & E-commerce
- Customer Relationship Management
- Consulting and Business Analytics
- Entrepreneurship and Start-ups
The officer should develop a dedicated recruiter network for BBA-specific job profiles.
D. BCA Placement Responsibilities
Special focus should be given to companies offering opportunities in:
- Software Development
- Full Stack Development
- Web Development
- Application Development
- Data Analytics
- Data Science
- Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning
- IT Support and Technical Support
- Cloud and IT Operations
- Cybersecurity
- QA/Software Testing
- Technical Sales and IT-enabled services
The officer should particularly focus on developing relationships with IT companies, software firms, startups, technology service providers and product-based companies.
E. Internship & Live Project Opportunities
- Generate internship opportunities for BBA and BCA students.
- Develop summer internship and semester internship opportunities with reputed organizations.
- Facilitate live projects, industry projects and corporate assignments.
- Maintain internship records and monitor student participation.
- Develop opportunities that can potentially lead to Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs).
- Maintain regular communication with companies regarding student performance and internship completion.
3. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
The Placement Officer will be evaluated on measurable outcomes, including:
- Number of new companies added to the recruiter network.
- Number of campus placement drives conducted.
- Number of students placed in BBA and BCA.
- Placement percentage of eligible students.
- Number of internship opportunities generated.
- Number of PPO opportunities generated.
- Average and highest salary package.
- Number of reputed/new recruiters participating in campus placement.
- Number of repeat recruiters.
- Number of corporate MoUs/partnerships established.
- Number of industry interactions conducted.
- Student satisfaction with placement services.
- Joining conversion rate of selected students.
- Quality and relevance of job profiles offered to BBA and BCA students.
4. Minimum Qualification
- Graduate degree in any relevant discipline; MBA/PGDM preferred.
- Candidates having qualifications in Management, HR, Marketing, Business Development, Computer Science/IT or related fields will be preferred.

- Preferably 3–7 years of relevant experience in:
- Corporate Relations
- Campus Recruitment
- Training & Placement

- Business Development
- Industry-Academia Relations
- Higher Education Placements
- Candidates with a proven track record of developing corporate relationships and generating campus placement opportunities will be strongly preferred.

- A result-oriented approach with measurable placement achievements.
8. Compensation
Proposed Salary: ₹50,000 – ₹60,000 per month, depending upon qualification, experience, corporate network and demonstrated placement performance.
