About the Role
Digitoonz is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Background (BG) Artist to create high-quality backgrounds that enhance the visual storytelling of animated productions. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of composition, perspective, color theory, lighting, and environmental design.
Key Responsibilities
- Create appealing and production-ready 2D background artwork for animated projects.
- Design environments based on concept art, storyboards, and art direction.
- Ensure consistency in style, color palette, and quality throughout the project.
- Collaborate with art directors, layout artists, and animation teams.
- Revise artwork based on creative feedback while meeting project deadlines.
- Organize and maintain background assets according to production standards.
- Optimize artwork for animation pipelines.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience as a Background Artist in the animation industry.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop.
- Good understanding of perspective, composition, lighting, color theory, and environmental design.
- Ability to match different art styles and maintain visual consistency.
- Knowledge of digital painting techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working on TV series or feature animation projects.
- Familiarity with Toon Boom Harmony workflow is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of animation production pipelines.
Pay: ₹11,111.46 - ₹35,515.20 per month
