About the Role
Cevex Events and Hospitality Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced and dynamic Head of Event Production to lead the planning, execution, and on-ground production of events. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in managing end-to-end event production, vendors, teams, budgets, logistics, and client requirements.
The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that every event is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the end-to-end production and execution of events.
- Understand event briefs, client requirements, concepts, layouts, and production requirements.
- Develop detailed event production plans, timelines, checklists, and execution schedules.
- Coordinate with clients, event managers, creative teams, production teams, vendors, venues, and other stakeholders.
- Manage event setup, execution, dismantling, and post-event activities.
- Supervise stage, backdrop, branding, lighting, sound, LED screens, truss, furniture, décor, fabrication, AV, power, and other production requirements.
- Conduct venue inspections and identify technical, logistical, and operational requirements.
- Source, negotiate, and manage vendors, suppliers, fabricators, technicians, and freelancers.
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of all production materials and equipment.
- Manage production budgets, quotations, purchase requirements, and cost control.
- Monitor vendor performance and ensure quality and timely delivery.
- Lead and supervise on-ground production teams during events.
- Coordinate with venue management regarding permissions, loading/unloading, power, parking, security, and other requirements.
- Ensure proper execution of event branding and fabrication as per approved designs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve last-minute production and operational issues.
- Ensure events are executed according to approved designs, specifications, timelines, and client expectations.
- Maintain strong quality-control standards throughout the event lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with venue regulations, safety standards, and event-related permissions.
- Coordinate with security, housekeeping, transportation, hospitality, and other operational teams when required.
- Prepare event-wise production reports and maintain proper documentation.
- Conduct post-event reviews and identify areas for improvement.
- Manage multiple events simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines.
- Be available for extended working hours, weekends, and holidays when event schedules require.
- Travel to different locations for event execution and site visits.
Requirements & Skills
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in event production, event management, experiential marketing, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of event production, fabrication, AV, sound, lighting, staging, branding, and logistics.
- Proven experience in independently handling large-scale events and production operations.
- Excellent vendor and team management skills.
- Strong negotiation and cost-management abilities.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and client-handling skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively for events and site requirements.
- Proficiency in English and Malayalam is required.
- Knowledge of Hindi and Tamil will be an added advantage.
- Should be comfortable working with event production schedules and on-ground teams.
- Immediate joiners are highly preferred.
Preferred Candidate Profile
We are looking for someone who is hands-on, responsible, highly organized, and passionate about event execution. The ideal candidate should be capable of taking ownership of production from planning through execution and ensuring smooth delivery even under challenging timelines.
Compensation
Salary: Up to ₹50,000 per month, depending on the candidate's experience, skills, and overall suitability for the role.
