Job Summary
The Safety Engineer is responsible for implementing and monitoring safety procedures at construction sites to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. The role involves identifying hazards, conducting safety inspections, training workers, and ensuring safe working practices to prevent accidents and injuries.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor site safety policies and procedures in accordance with company standards and local regulations.
- Conduct daily safety inspections and audits at construction sites.
- Identify potential hazards and unsafe conditions and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all workers and staff.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety training for workers and subcontractors.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports.
- Ensure compliance with statutory safety regulations and company safety guidelines.
- Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and contractors to maintain a safe work environment.
- Monitor work permits such as hot work permit, work at height permit, confined space permit, etc.
- Maintain safety documentation, reports, and records.
- Participate in risk assessments and hazard identification activities.
- Promote safety awareness among workers and encourage safe work practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering / Safety / Industrial Safety.
- Certification such as NEBOSH / IOSH / OSHA preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in construction site safety.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of construction safety standards and regulations.
- Good understanding of risk assessment and hazard control.
- Strong observation and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and training skills.
- Ability to prepare safety reports and documentation.
- Basic knowledge of PPE, scaffolding safety, lifting operations, and work at height.
- Ability to conduct safety drills and emergency response planning.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
