Key Responsibility :
A site engineer manages and oversees technical, day-to-day operations on construction projects to ensure work is completed safely, accurately, on time, and within budget.
· Technical Oversight: Interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and specifications to ensure construction aligns with design plans.
· Site Management: Supervise daily on-site activities, coordinate subcontractors, and manage site labor and resources.
· Quality & Safety Control: Perform regular inspections to maintain quality standards and enforce safety regulations and local building codes.
· Progress Tracking: Monitor project timelines, keep logs of daily progress, and report developments or delays to project managers.
· Surveying & Setting Out: Map out construction sites and mark precise positions for structures, foundations, and utilities using surveying equipment.
· Problem Solving: Identify structural or technical issues as they arise and coordinate with architects, project managers, and clients to implement solutions.
Qualifications & Requirements
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
· Certifications: Professional certifications or licenses (e.g., Fundamentals of Engineering / Professional Engineer license, OSHA certification) are preferred or required depending on the region.
· Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit), surveying equipment (Total Station, GPS), and project management tools.
Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
