Job Summary
The Detailing Engineer is responsible for preparing detailed fabrication and erection drawings for Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) projects. The role involves creating accurate shop drawings, General Arrangement (GA) drawings, connection details, and Bills of Materials (BOM) while coordinating with the design, production, and project teams to ensure timely project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare General Arrangement (GA) drawings, fabrication drawings, and erection drawings using AutoCAD and/or Tekla Structures.
- Develop detailed shop drawings for primary and secondary steel members.
- Prepare connection details, anchor bolt layouts, framing plans, and material take-offs.
- Generate and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOM).
- Review drawings to ensure compliance with project specifications and engineering standards.
- Incorporate design revisions and update drawings as required.
- Coordinate with the Design, Production, Quality, Procurement, and Project Execution teams to resolve drawing-related issues.
- Provide technical support to the fabrication and erection teams by addressing drawing queries.
- Maintain drawing revision records and engineering documentation.
- Ensure drawings are released as per the project schedule.
- Follow company quality procedures and detailing standards.
- Perform self-checks to ensure accuracy before issuing drawings.

Educational Qualification
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Structural Engineering.
Experience
- 0–5 years of experience in PEB detailing or structural steel detailing.
- Freshers with relevant software knowledge and training may also be considered.
Preferred Knowledge
- PEB components such as columns, rafters, purlins, girts, bracings, mezzanine floors, canopies, and roof/wall cladding.
- Structural steel fabrication processes.
- Basic knowledge of welding, bolted connections, and erection procedures.
