Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Design Engineer to join our MEP Design team.The ideal
candidate should have hands-on experience in designing HVAC systems for commercial, residential, industrial, and institutional building projects. The role involves preparing HVAC designs,performing engineering calculations, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
HVAC System Design
- Design HVAC systems including Air Conditioning, Ventilation, Chilled Water, VRF/VRV, DX Systems, and Exhaust Systems.
- Perform cooling and heating load calculations using industry-standard software.
- Prepare HVAC layouts, schematics, and detailed design drawings.
- Size ductwork, piping, equipment, diffusers, and air terminals.
Engineering & Coordination
Coordinate HVAC designs with Architectural, Structural, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire
Fighting teams.
- Review architectural drawings and identify design constraints.
- Participate in design review meetings and provide technical solutions.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Documentation
- Prepare HVAC design calculations, technical reports, BOQs, equipment schedules, and
material specifications.
- Review shop drawings and technical submittals.
- Ensure all drawings and documents comply with project standards and client requirements.
Software & Technical Skills
- Prepare drawings using AutoCAD.
- Develop and review HVAC models using Revit MEP (preferred).
- Perform HVAC calculations using HAP, Carrier HAP, or equivalent software.
- Use MS Excel for engineering calculations and reporting.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with NBC, ASHRAE, IS Codes, SMACNA, and other applicable
standards.
- Support value engineering and energy-efficient HVAC solutions.
- Ensure quality and timely delivery of design documents.

- 4–8 years of experience in HVAC Design for building construction projects.
- Experience in Commercial, Residential, Industrial, Healthcare, Hospitality, or Institutional
projects.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC design standards and building codes.
- Experience in MEP consultancy or construction design environment is preferred.
