- Downtime Minimization: Overseeing rapid mold changes and coordinating preventive maintenance to keep the production line running without interruption.
- Resource Allocation: Ensuring operators have the correct raw materials (polymers/compounds), tools, and support needed for their shifts.
2. Quality Assurance
- Defect Control: Inspecting extruded or molded tubes for thickness, diameter, concentricity, and structural integrity.
- Scrap Reduction: Implementing waste reduction strategies and identifying the root cause of defects (e.g., short shots, burns, or warping).
- Documentation: Maintaining accurate records for audits, ensuring compliance with ISO or IATF manufacturing standards.
3. Team Leadership & Training
- Staff Management: Delegating work, conducting shift handovers, and managing attendance or overtime.
- On-boarding: Training new hires on standard operating procedures (SOPs), machine operation, and customer specifications.
