1. Role Purpose
We are looking for a hands-on Plant Operations Manager to lead the setup, commissioning and day-to-day
management of our Khopoli manufacturing facility.
The role will cover factory readiness, utilities, statutory compliance, HSE, contractors, manufacturing operations,
maintenance, logistics, stores, manpower, facilities, security and site administration.

Operations Head / Plant Head 3. Key Responsibilities
3.1 Plant Operations & Manufacturing
Own daily plant operations and ensure safe, disciplined and efficient functioning.
Plan and supervise manufacturing, manpower, machines, materials and production
priorities.
Monitor productivity, downtime, bottlenecks and recurring operational issues.
Establish basic SOPs, work instructions, production controls, 5S and housekeeping
discipline.
Coordinate with Engineering, Projects, Procurement, Quality, Sales and Management for
execution.
3.2 Factory Construction, Commissioning & Readiness
Coordinate civil, PEB, electrical, mechanical and other contractors during factory
development.
Track site progress, delays, defects, incomplete works and commissioning actions.
Ensure readiness of utilities, plant equipment, fire systems, lighting, drainage and
support infrastructure.
Support equipment installation, testing, handover and transition to operational
manufacturing.
3.3 Maintenance & Utilities
Set up preventive and corrective maintenance systems for equipment, buildingand
utilities.
Coordinate breakdown response, maintenance schedules, service records and AMC/CMC
documentation.
Monitor utility consumption, critical spares and cost/reliability improvement
opportunities.
3.4 HSE, Fire & Workplace Safety
Own site-level HSE implementation and compliance with statutory and company safety
standards.
Conduct workplace and contractor safety inspections and ensure PPE, signage and
emergency readiness.
Maintain safety records, incident actions and promote a safety-first culture.
3.5 Statutory Compliance & Government Liaison
Act as site contact for government departments, statutory authorities and external
agencies.
Coordinate licences, renewals, inspections, approvals and statutory submissions. Maintain compliance calendar, records and closure of inspection observations.
Fluent Marathi is essential for local liaison and communication.
3.6 Manpower, Contractors & Workforce
Coordinate manpower requirements with Management and HR.
Supervise operators, technicians, support staff and contract labour.
Manage contractor attendance, discipline, safety, productivity and compliance.
3.7 Logistics, Stores & Material Movement
Coordinate domestic and international movement of machines, equipment, components
and materials.
Manage site logistics, loading/unloading, vehicle movement and material handling.
Support stores, inventory records, receipts, issues and safe material storage.
3.8 Facilities, Security & Site Administration
Manage site services including power, water, sanitation, housekeeping, security and
canteen arrangements.
Oversee security, visitor management, access control, CCTV and emergency
arrangements.
Ensure the facility remains clean, functional and visitor-ready.
3.9 Vendor & Cost Management
Identify, evaluate and manage local vendors and service providers.
Support quotations, negotiations, service agreements and AMC/CMC tracking.
Monitor vendor performance, expenses and safe cost-reduction opportunities.
3.10 Reporting & Management Coordination
Provide regular reports on plant readiness, production, maintenance, HSE, compliance,
manpower, logistics, facilities and costs.
Maintain action trackers and escalate critical safety, legal, operational or infrastructure
issues.
Act as the central coordination point for day-to-day site operational matters.
4. Candidate Profile
Essential Qualifications & Experience
Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, Industrial Engineering, Facility
Management or related discipline.
8–10 years’ relevant experience in manufacturing, plant operations, facilities,
maintenance or site administration.
Practical exposure to contractors, statutory authorities, HSE and industrial compliance.
Fluent Marathi and good written/spoken English are mandatory.
Ability to work independently in a developing factory environment and take ownership
of site-level issues.
Preferred Experience
MNC/international company experience.
Experience in machine manufacturing, industrial equipment, fabrication or engineering
manufacturing.
Exposure to new factory setup, commissioning, PEB factories, utilities, 5S/Lean/Kaizen.
Knowledge of contract labour, vendors, ERP/digital reporting, stores, inventory and
logistics.

sufficiently to coordinate solutions.

The ideal candidate is a practical industrial operations professional who can bridge manufacturing, facilities,
maintenance, HSE, statutory compliance and site administration.
The role is intended to develop into a broader Plant Operations leadership position as the Khopoli manufacturing
operation grows.
7. First 6–12 Month Priorities
Complete site readiness and close construction/infrastructure actions.
Ensure utilities, safety systems and essential services are operational.
Establish compliance, maintenance, housekeeping, security and emergency systems.
Support equipment installation, commissioning and operational handover.
Start manufacturing operations, basic reporting, 5S and disciplined site operations.
Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
