Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Infection Control Nurse to oversee and implement infection prevention and control practices within the hospital. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring hospital-acquired infections, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols, conducting surveillance, and educating healthcare staff on infection prevention measures.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and prevent hospital-acquired infections (HAIs).
- Conduct infection surveillance and maintain accurate records.
- Ensure compliance with NABH/NABL and hospital infection control standards.
- Develop and implement infection control policies and SOPs.
- Conduct regular infection control audits and inspections.
- Train and educate healthcare staff/workers on infection prevention practices.
- Coordinate with various departments regarding infection control measures.
- Investigate outbreaks and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor sterilization, disinfection, biomedical waste management, and hand hygiene practices.
- Prepare monthly infection control reports and presentations.
Desired Candidate Profile
- B.Sc Nursing / GNM with valid nursing registration.
- Certification or training in Infection Control preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in infection control.
- Knowledge of NABH standards and infection prevention protocols.
- Good communication, analytical, and training skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
