Roles & Responsibilities
1. Material Receipt
- Receive raw materials, packaging materials, engineering spares, and consumables as per Purchase Orders (POs).
- Verify quantity, quality, and documentation before accepting materials.
- Coordinate with the Quality Control (QC) team for incoming material inspection and approval.
- Prepare Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs) and update ERP/inventory systems.
2. Material Storage
- Store materials according to approved storage procedures.
- Ensure proper identification, labeling, and traceability of all materials.
- Maintain designated storage conditions, including temperature requirements for frozen and chilled items.
- Ensure segregation of approved, rejected, quarantined, and expired materials.
3. Material Issue
- Issue materials to Production and other departments against authorized requisitions.
- Ensure timely availability of materials to avoid production delays.
- Record all material issues accurately in the ERP or inventory management system.
4. Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate stock records for all inventory.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly physical stock verification.
- Reconcile physical stock with system records and resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor stock levels and inform Procurement about reorder requirements.
5. FIFO / FEFO Compliance
- Ensure materials are issued on a FIFO (First In, First Out) or FEFO (First Expired, First Out) basis, as applicable.
- Monitor expiry dates and shelf life.
- Prevent the use of expired or damaged materials.
6. Documentation
Maintain and update:
- Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs)
- Material Issue Slips
- Stock Registers
- Inventory Reports
- Bin Cards
- Daily Stock Reports
- Stock Adjustment Records
- Material Return Notes
- Dispatch Records
- Temperature Monitoring Logs (for cold storage)
7. Cold Storage Management
- Monitor freezer and cold room temperatures regularly.
- Ensure frozen products are stored at the required temperature.
- Minimize door opening time to maintain the cold chain.
- Report temperature deviations immediately.
8. Warehouse Housekeeping
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic warehouse.
- Ensure materials are stored safely and aisles remain unobstructed.
- Follow 5S practices.
- Coordinate with the Housekeeping team to maintain warehouse cleanliness.
9. Safety & Compliance
- Follow warehouse safety procedures.
- Ensure proper use of PPE.
- Handle materials safely to prevent damage and accidents.
- Comply with GMP, GHP, HACCP, FSSAI, ISO 22000, and company warehouse procedures.
10. Coordination
- Coordinate with Procurement for material receipts.
- Coordinate with Production for timely material issuance.
- Coordinate with Quality Control for material approval and release.
- Coordinate with Logistics for dispatch planning.
- Support Finance during stock verification and inventory audits.
11. Audit Support
- Prepare inventory records for internal and external audits.
- Support customer, statutory, and food safety audits.
- Ensure timely closure of audit observations related to stores.
12. Continuous Improvement
- Suggest improvements in warehouse operations and inventory control.
- Minimize inventory losses, damage, and wastage.
- Improve storage utilization and material handling efficiency.
Pay: Up to ₹25,000.00 per month
