We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Audit & Accounts Assistant to join our Chartered Accountant firm. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles, statutory compliance, and audit procedures. The role offers excellent exposure to statutory audits, GST, TDS, accounting, and financial reporting across diverse industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in statutory audits, tax audits, internal audits, and other assurance assignments.
- Maintain books of accounts and record accounting transactions accurately.
- Prepare bank reconciliations, ledger scrutiny, and account reconciliations.
- Work on accounting software such as Tally Prime and Zoho Books.
- Prepare and review GST workings, GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, and reconcile GSTR-2B.
- Assist in TDS compliance, including deduction, return filing, and reconciliation.
- Support the preparation of financial statements, schedules, and audit working papers.
- Verify invoices, vouchers, supporting documents, and statutory records.
- Assist in ROC, Income Tax, and other statutory compliance assignments as required.
- Coordinate with clients for collection of information and documentation.
- Perform data analysis and prepare reports using Microsoft Excel.
Desired Skills
- Good knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
- Working knowledge of Tally Prime and Zoho Books.
- Basic understanding of GST and TDS provisions.
- Familiarity with statutory and internal audit procedures.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, basic formulas preferred).
- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Eligibility
- B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter (appeared or pursuing) / CMA Inter or equivalent qualification.
- 1–3 years of experience in a CA firm or accounting environment.
