Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic, friendly, and detail-oriented Barista to prepare and serve high-quality coffee, beverages, and light food items while delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is passionate about coffee, maintains excellent hygiene, and creates a memorable experience for every guest.
Key ResponsibilitiesBeverage Preparation
- Prepare espresso-based beverages including cappuccino, latte, americano, mocha, and cold coffee.
- Brew tea, herbal infusions, and specialty beverages.
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other café equipment.
- Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and quality.
Food Service
- Warm and plate sandwiches, pastries, breads, and desserts.
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards.
Customer Service
- Greet customers warmly and take orders accurately.
- Recommend menu items and upsell when appropriate.
- Handle customer concerns professionally.
Cash Handling
- Process billing through POS systems.
- Handle cash, UPI, cards, and maintain accurate records.
Inventory & Stock
- Monitor milk, coffee beans, syrups, cups, and supplies.
- Inform management when stock is low.
- Assist with receiving and organizing inventory.
Cleanliness & Maintenance
- Keep the coffee station, dining area, and equipment spotless.
- Follow opening and closing checklists.
- Maintain strict personal hygiene and grooming.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience as a barista or in hospitality preferred.
- Knowledge of coffee preparation and latte art is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math and billing knowledge.
- Positive attitude and team spirit.
- Punctual, reliable, and honest.
Education
- Minimum 10th or 12th pass.
- Hospitality or barista training preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Ability to lift and carry supplies up to 15-20 kg.
- Comfortable working in a busy environment.
