Role Overview
As our operations continue to scale aggressively, we are looking for a highly organized and execution-driven Business Operations & Procurement Executive. This is a high-ownership, in-office role where you will serve as the operational backbone of the company. You will take charge of end-to-end project execution tracking, supply chain management, inventory control, and resource allocation. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and ensures that our field teams have exactly what they need, right when they need it, to deliver flawless solar installations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supply Chain & Procurement Management
- Take full ownership of procuring necessary solar equipment, including panels, inverters, mounting structures, and wiring.
- Identify, negotiate with, and onboard reliable vendors and suppliers to ensure cost-effective and timely material delivery.
- Monitor supply chain workflows to prevent delays in project timelines.
- Process purchase orders and maintain precise procurement records for all inward materials.
2. Billing & Financial Operations
- Manage end-to-end billing cycles for ongoing projects, ensuring accurate invoicing and timely client payment tracking.
- Take ownership of supply chain financial responsibilities, including reconciling vendor ledgers and processing supplier payouts.
- Coordinate with the finance team for continuous vendor payments and invoice tracking.
- Maintain accurate financial records of procurement costs, operational expenditures, and warehouse overheads.
3. Inventory & Resource Allocation
- Manage and track all warehouse and on-site inventory with precision.
- Allocate physical resources and materials to installation teams based on project requirements and daily schedules.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to prevent stockouts or material wastage.
- Optimize inventory storage and dispatch processes for maximum operational efficiency.
4. Project Execution & Operations Management
- Act as the central hub between the sales, engineering, and installation teams to ensure seamless project handovers.
- Track project progress from initial site visit through to final commissioning and net metering documentation.
- Allocate workforce resources (electricians, fabricators, technicians) effectively across multiple active sites.
- Identify operational bottlenecks in real-time and implement swift, structured solutions.
5. Data Management & Reporting
- Maintain highly structured operational databases, procurement logs, and inventory records.
- Generate weekly and monthly reports for management regarding project completion rates, inventory health, and procurement costs.
- Help refine and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the operations team.
Requirements & Core Skills
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in operations, supply chain, procurement, or project management (experience in solar, construction, or manufacturing is a strong plus).
- Mindset: High ownership, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple moving parts simultaneously.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets and comfort with adopting CRM or inventory management software.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with vendors, internal teams, and management.
- Work Style: Must be comfortable working full-time from our Bangalore office and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, startup environment.
What We Offer
- Fixed Salary: ₹2.5L – ₹3L Per Annum (based on experience and skill level).
