Purpose of the Role:
Looking to hire a hands-on commercially driven Financial Controller to lead and strengthen the finance function of our globally established maritime organization.
This role is ideal for a proactive finance leader who thrives in a fast-paced, execution-oriented environment and enjoys partnering with the business to drive operational excellence, governance, and strategic growth.
The successful candidate will lead multi-entity finance operations across domestic and international businesses, overseeing financial reporting, group consolidations, treasury, audits, taxation, process excellence, ERP implementation, and finance transformation while building a high-performing finance function.
Desired Profile
- Chartered Accountant (CA) – Mandatory.
- 10–18 years of progressive finance experience, including 5–7 years in Financial Controllership.
- Strong expertise in financial reporting, consolidations, taxation, treasury, audits, MIS, compliance, and end-to-end finance operations.
- Demonstrated ability to build processes, resolve legacy issues, drive automation, and partner with business teams to deliver commercial outcomes.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in Shipping, Maritime, Logistics, Offshore, EPC, Infrastructure, Real Estate, Contracting, or other multinational organizations will be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including standalone and consolidated financial statements (IFRS/Ind AS), statutory audits, taxation, and regulatory compliance across global entities.
- Drive financial governance, treasury, internal controls, process improvements, ERP implementation, and finance transformation initiatives to build a scalable and efficient finance function.
- Partner with business leaders, auditors, banks, consultants, and regulatory authorities to provide strategic financial insights while developing and mentoring a high-performing finance team.
