Responsibilities include preparing and verifying export documentation such as commercial invoices, packing lists, shipping bills, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and other regulatory documents.
The position requires close coordination with transporters, customs brokers, warehouses, shipping lines, overseas agents, and customers to ensure smooth cargo movement and timely delivery. Monitoring shipment schedules, tracking containers, resolving operational issues, and providing regular shipment updates to customers are key responsibilities. The professional must ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, Incoterms, and company policies while maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
Additionally, the role includes negotiating freight rates, optimizing logistics costs, monitoring carrier performance, and maintaining strong relationships with logistics partners. Effective coordination with internal departments, including sales, finance, procurement, and warehouse teams, is essential to meet customer commitments and business objectives. The individual is also responsible for handling export documentation, managing freight invoices, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining accurate shipment records.
