Your Role
As a Smart Home IoT Solution Architect, you will play a key role in defining and delivering connected home solutions across embedded devices, gateways, cloud platforms, and mobile applications. You will work closely with customers, product teams, and engineering organizations to design scalable, secure, and interoperable smart home ecosystems leveraging industry-standard IoT protocols and technologies.
In this role, you will:
- Lead solution architecture and technical strategy for Smart Home and Connected Device platforms.
- Drive architecture decisions across IoT devices, connectivity layers, cloud services, and mobile applications.
- Analyze market trends, competitive offerings, and emerging smart home technologies to influence product direction.
- Design interoperable solutions utilizing industry protocols such as Matter, Thread, Zigbee, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and other LPWAN/LRWPAN technologies.
- Collaborate with embedded, firmware, cloud, and application development teams to ensure end-to-end solution integration.
- Define device onboarding, provisioning, monitoring, and lifecycle management strategies.
- Architect device-to-cloud communication frameworks using MQTT, CoAP, REST APIs, and related IoT protocols.
- Leverage cloud IoT platforms such as AWS IoT, Azure IoT, or equivalent services to build scalable connected solutions.
- Establish security architectures covering device identity, credential management, secure boot, encryption, authentication, and compliance requirements.
- Support customer discussions, technical workshops, solution proposals, and pre-sales activities.
- Mentor engineering teams and contribute to organizational IoT best practices and technology roadmaps.
Your Profile
- 14+ years of experience in Embedded Systems, IoT, or Connected Device engineering.
- Strong domain expertise in Smart Home technologies and industry ecosystems.
- Deep understanding of IoT communication protocols including Matter, Thread, Zigbee, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Wi-Fi, and LRWPAN technologies.
- Good understanding of embedded platforms, device firmware architecture, and edge computing concepts.
- Experience with device-to-cloud protocols and cloud IoT platforms such as AWS IoT, Azure IoT, or similar solutions.
- Strong knowledge of IoT security standards, secure device implementation, and cybersecurity best practices.
