The ICT Faculty / Computer Teacher is responsible for teaching Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Computer Science subjects to students, developing practical computer skills, and fostering digital literacy. The role includes lesson planning, classroom management, assessment of student performance, and maintenance of computer lab activities.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Learning
- Plan and deliver engaging ICT and Computer Science lessons.
- Teach computer fundamentals, MS Office applications, internet usage, programming basics, and digital literacy.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and assessments.
- Conduct practical sessions in the computer laboratory.
- Evaluate students through tests, projects, and practical examinations.
- Support students in developing problem-solving and computational thinking skills.
Classroom Management
- Maintain discipline and create a positive learning environment.
- Monitor student attendance and academic progress.
- Provide guidance and support to students requiring additional assistance.
Computer Lab Management
- Ensure proper utilization of computer lab resources.
- Coordinate with the ICT department for maintenance of computers, software, and network facilities.
- Report technical issues and ensure smooth functioning of lab equipment.
- Promote safe and responsible use of technology among students.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain student records, assessment data, and academic reports.
- Participate in staff meetings, training programs, and school events.
- Assist in organizing ICT-related competitions, workshops, and exhibitions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications, or related field.
- B.Ed. (preferred for school teaching positions).
- Relevant teaching experience in ICT/Computer Science.
Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of Computer Science and ICT concepts.
- Proficiency in MS Office, internet applications, and educational technology tools.
- Basic knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or Scratch.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Classroom management and student engagement skills.
Experience
- Freshers with relevant qualifications may apply.
- 1–3 years of teaching experience preferred.
Pay: ₹21,000.00 - ₹26,000.00 per month
