Position Title: Quality Control Executive

Job Summary:
The Quality Control Executive is responsible for monitoring, inspecting, and evaluating products and processes to ensure compliance with company quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications. The role involves conducting quality checks, maintaining documentation, identifying non-conformities, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to ensure consistent product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Inspection & Monitoring
· Conduct routine inspections and quality checks of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
· Ensure compliance with established quality standards, specifications, and SOPs.
· Monitor production activities to identify and address quality-related issues.
· Perform sampling and testing as per quality control procedures.
Documentation & Reporting
· Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and quality reports.
· Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality performance reports.
· Document non-conformities and corrective actions taken.
· Ensure proper maintenance of quality control records and documentation.
Compliance & Standards
· Ensure adherence to food safety, hygiene, and quality regulations.
· Verify compliance with company policies, industry standards, and statutory requirements.
· Assist during internal and external quality audits.
Process Improvement
· Identify quality gaps and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
· Collaborate with production and operations teams to improve product quality and process efficiency.
· Participate in quality improvement projects and initiatives.
Laboratory & Testing (if applicable)
· Conduct physical, chemical, and sensory evaluations as required.
· Ensure testing equipment is calibrated and maintained properly.
· Monitor laboratory practices and maintain testing records.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Agriculture, or a related field.
· Additional certifications in Quality Management or Food Safety will be an added advantage.
Experience:
· 1–3 years of experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, FMCG, Tea Industry, Food Processing, or a related sector.
Required Skills:
· Strong understanding of quality control processes and standards.
· Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, FSSAI, ISO 22000, or other relevant quality systems.
· Attention to detail and analytical thinking.
· Good documentation and reporting skills.
· Proficiency in MS Office applications.
· Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
· Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
· Product quality compliance rate.
· Reduction in quality defects and customer complaints.
· Audit compliance score.
· Timely completion of inspections and reports.
· Implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Working Conditions:
· Factory, production facility, warehouse, or laboratory environment.
· May require periodic travel to production units or supplier locations.
· Flexibility to work in shifts, if required.
